Meeting the French President (of Driving Schools)

Yesterday (as EFA President) I had a meeting with Patrice Bessone, President of the driver trainer section of Conseil National des Professions De l’Automobile (CNPA) and members of the CNPA board of directors.

CNPA translates as the National Council of Professions of the Automobile, this organisation looks after the interests of around twenty different automobile professions. In addition to driver training they include body shops, collectors of used tyres, fuel retailers, garages and parking lots, high pressure washing, short term rentals and independent mechanics.

We discussed various items of interest including the EFA view regarding the setting of standards for driving schools in countries were premises with classrooms are part of the normal method for teaching new drivers.
