I have just returned from attending a couple of MSA meetings in Cardiff and Bristol. Both were well attended and very well organised.
Congratulations to MSA Chairmen Paddy Tyler, MSA South Wales and Colin Lilly, MSA Western who were both re-elected.
Both meetings covered a variety of topics and there was considerable interest in the new Standards Check.
I was asked a couple of questions at these meetings which may be of interest to others. One concerned Standards Check/Check Test gradings.
The questioner wanted to know how many Grade 6, 5, 4, etc. there were under the old check test system all the statistics can be found on this table Instructor Statistics.
Another question concerned how DVSA was likely to change the ADI qualifying process in the future. The answers are contained in the DVSA document Modernising driver training interim response to consultation the main sections of interest are 10 to 13 on page 6.
Driving Instructor Services exhibited at both events and the lovely Eve Wakeford was kind enough to post my picture on her Facebook I am very honoured.
